Inspect firebox, damper, hearth; assess damage, explain clearly.

Clear breakdown of work, materials, timeline, costs, and explanations.

Protect home with drop cloths; remove damaged materials for rebuilds.

Certified masons rebuild firebox with proper materials, dimensions, draft.

We clean thoroughly, verify proper operation, and test for safety. You’ll get instructions for proper use and maintenance.

Firebricks wear from heating cycles; we replace them with high-temperature refractory materials for durability.

Mortar between firebricks breaks down over time. We repoint joints using high-temperature refractory mortar designed for fireboxes.

The firebox back wall takes the most heat and often fails first. We rebuild back walls with proper materials and correct angles for optimal draft.

Cracked or damaged hearths create safety hazards. We repair or rebuild hearths to code requirements.

Some fireboxes were built with wrong dimensions, causing smoking and poor draft. We rebuild to correct specifications for proper operation.

The smoke chamber above the firebox can crack or deteriorate. We repair or rebuild smoke chambers to ensure proper smoke flow.

Damaged or missing dampers waste energy and allow animals in. We repair or replace dampers as part of firebox restoration.

I hired Red Brick Chimney to repair the brickwork on my dad’s 75-year-old house, and I couldn’t be happier. Mike was professional, punctual, and clearly experienced. He carefully assessed the damage, explained the work, and gave a fair estimate — unlike other companies that wanted to remove and cap the old chimney for more money. Mike’s repair was excellent: the bricks were repointed, mortar joints reinforced, and metal mesh added to keep animals out. He worked safely, cleaned up daily, and kept us updated throughout. I’m extremely satisfied with the quality and service. Mike went above and beyond — my dad’s old chimney looks brand new again! Highly recommend Red Brick Chimney Ltd.Posted on Emily MathisenTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We needed some help with a chimney removal and Mike was great. Easy to reach, prompt, reasonable, helpful and professional. Good guy, good work, best price of anyone we talked to.Posted on John tTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Mike asked for a 500$ deposit and wanted the cheque written in his name not the company Furthermore he estimated the job at 3000 which should of been under warranty We got estimates from other companies which all came under 800$ Not a way to do business especially with a 90 year old pensioner STAY AWAY FROM THIS CROOKPosted on Debbie ChangTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I have never experienced this before. Mike wrote on an email that he will come between 2-3pm to inspect our chimney. He arrived half an hour late and did not even bother to call ahead and tell me he was going to be late. I actually thought he wasn't going to show up at all. He took a quick look from the outside and I showed him the area where water damage is. He provided a recommendation on what needs to be done, and when I ask him if there are other possibilities that the water could get in, what is included in the cost and if there other alternative solutions. He got all defensive, he said if I don't trust him then I should hire someone else for the job. I told him that he is the expert but I want to make sure the repair is done properly. He got upset, walk away in the middle of the conversation, and drove away in his car. I understand he came out on a Saturday to work and didn't charge a fee for an inspection. I would have hired him for the job if he hasn't acted unprofessionally. I was skeptical after reading poor reviews from other people, now I understand why.Posted on Richard KishTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Good work and honest pricing but room for improvement. Our chimney was repointed and capped in May 2018. Service at that time and workmanship on a whole was satisfactory (their work was even complimented on by another chimney person... So there you go!). My only critique or watch out - support/service post-work completion needs improving. I found them defensive instead of empathetic, reluctant instead of proactive. They didn't help me with my problem (water ingress) and instead my roofing guy identified the issue and addressed it even though they didn't do the chimney work. Very happy with the work done on my chimney flashing. Clean, affordable and professional. Would recommend to anyone needing any chimney/masonry repair.Posted on Lorie GibsonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Not only did Mike take 6 MONTHS to "repair" my Chimney (after he told me it would be about 5 weeks), but the first time it rained it was leaking just like before. When I asked him about the 10 year Guarantee he gave me, he told me I had to spend another $800 to seal it and his guarantee only applied if the masonry fell down. Why on earth did I pay to have him repoint my chimney, replace the pots and put in new flashing if it wasn't going to solve the problem that I had? Couldn't be more disappointed.Posted on Conrad JamesTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Mike @ Red Brick was good to deal with. He provided me an estimate that was clear and detailed the work needed. He was very in tune with what had to be done to my aging chimneys. ( I had a issues with one chimney leaking water at the base after heavy rain) Mike looked at the chimneys while I was not around so I asked him to swing by and explain the scope of work and explain the estimate. He dropped by a couple days later. I booked him right away before fall ! I was impressed with the great job he did over all. My chimneys look way better. The new flashing looks good and I’m confident the leaking issue is fixed. He gave me a written warrenty. I would highly recommend Mike and Red Brick Chimney !Posted on Micole Yiming WuTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
